THE LITTLE SCHOOLHOUSE

At Providence Homestead, we are passionate about preserving timeless traditions and passing them on to the next generation. Our Heirloom Skills class is designed for children ages 4–12 and offers hands-on learning in essential life skills such as chicken keeping, gardening, food preservation, bread making, herbalism, cheese making, wildcrafting, woodworking, needlework, pottery, archery, leatherworking, basket weaving, candle making, and so much more!

In addition to Heirloom Skills, we also offer an engaging art class that explores the lives and work of renowned artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Georgia O'Keeffe, Jackson Pollock, Pablo Picasso, Keith Haring, Banksy, Grant Wood, Edward Hopper, and many more. Students will also experiment with a wide variety of art mediums, including pastel, chalk, watercolor, clay, acrylic paint, pencil, charcoal, and much more!
